Product Description
Omnic (Tamsulosin) is an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Tamsulosin is used to improve urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate).
Please note that the doctor may have prescribed the medicine for a different use and/or with a different dosage than stated in the package insert. OMNIC 0.4mg is used in men for treating the complaints of the lower urinary tract associated with an enlarged prostatic gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia). These complaints may include difficulty urinating (poor stream), dribbling, urgency, and having to urinate frequently at night as well as during the day. It reduces the tension of the smooth muscles in the prostate and the urethra, enabling urine to pass more readily through the urethra and facilitating urination. In addition, it diminishes sensations of urge. The effect is maintained with long-term treatment and can significantly delay the time for surgery.
