Product Description
Azarga belongs to a class of medications known as anti-glaucoma agents. It is used to treat conditions such as glaucoma (damage to the optic nerve) and ocular hypertension (high fluid pressure inside the eye). Its primary function is to lower the increased pressure in the eye.
Ingredients
AZARGA contains two active substances: Brinzolamide, a potent inhibitor of human Carbonic Anhydrase II (CA-II), which is the main isoform in the eye. It reduces the secretion of aqueous humor by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary processes of the eye. Timolol is a non-selective adrenergic-blocking agent, specifically blocking beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors. It does not have intrinsic sympathomimetic activity.
How to use
Before using the eye drops, it is recommended to wash your hands. Tilt your head back and gently pull the lower eyelid downwards. Press the bottom of the bottle gently while holding it upside down to instill one drop into the affected eye, making sure not to touch the tip of the bottle to the eye or surrounding areas to prevent contamination. After use, replace the cap tightly. To prevent the eye drops from spreading to the rest of the body, apply pressure with a finger to the corner of the eye.
