Product Description

Singulair is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks substances called leukotrienes. Leukotrienes cause narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs. By blocking leukotrienes, Singulair Paediatric improves asthma symptoms and helps control asthma.

Ingredients

Each 10mg film-coated SINGULAIR tablet contains 10.4mg Montelukast Sodium, which is equivalent to 10mg of Montelukast, and the following inactive ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lactose Monohydrate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, and Magnesium Stearate.

How to use

The recommended dose is one 10 mg tablet to be taken daily in the evening. If you are taking Singulair, make sure you do not take any other products that contain the same active ingredient, Montelukast. This medicine is for oral use. You can take Singulair 10 mg with or without food.

Product Description

Prevention of asthma attacks in children aged 12 months old and above. Prevention of bronchospasm or exercise-induced asthma in infants and children aged 6 years old or above. Year-round symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis in children aged 6 years old and above.

Ingredients

The active substance is Montelukast. Each sachet of granules contains Montelukast sodium which corresponds to 4mg of Montelukast. The other ingredients are: Mannitol (E 421), Hyprolose (E 463), and Magnesium Stearate.

How to use

Make sure your child always uses this medicine exactly as the doctor has told you.
Contact your child's doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
This medicine should be given to children under adult supervision.
For children who have difficulty taking chewable tablets, granules, which are taken by mouth, are available.
Your child should only take one chewable tablet of Montelukast daily as prescribed by the doctor.
They should be taken even if your child has no symptoms or if she/he has an acute asthma attack.
